Data Center Construction Traffic Control in Texas: Austin, Bastrop & Conroe
Texas is where the next wave of data-center construction is headed. Big builds bring big traffic: trucks, cranes, crews and shift changes on roads that were never designed for them. The Parking Guys run that traffic.
Texas is the next gigawatt frontier
AI companies are hunting for land, power and speed, and Texas has all three. Public reporting in July 2026 said a major AI company is exploring a gigawatt-scale data center in Texas. According to that reporting, the company had not decided whether to build new or retrofit an existing warehouse, and had posted data-center roles in Austin, Bastrop and Conroe (DCD; Yahoo Finance).
These are reported plans, not confirmed sites. But the direction is clear. When gigawatt projects break ground, the access roads fill first.
Traffic control for Bastrop data center construction
Construction traffic control in Bastrop is a daily job, not a one-time setup. Gravel trucks, concrete pours and crew pickups all hit the same entrance. Most of it happens early.
What we run on a build site
- Entry and exit control with flags in daylight and lighted batons before sunrise
- Lane and queue management so trucks stage on site, not on the county road
- Crew parking laid out and held, so the work zone stays clear
- Radios linking the gate, the lots and the site lead
Conroe and the Terafab corridor
Conroe is on the map twice. Reporting says data-center construction roles were posted there, and Conroe is where Elon Musk has said he plans to build a “Terafab” chip factory (DCD). A chip fab and data-center work in the same corridor means heavy traffic for years.
Conroe traffic control needs crews who can hold a schedule, run two shifts and report what happened. That is how we work.
Austin-area campus parking & shuttle staging
Austin parking management for a large campus is about flow. Thousands of arrivals in a short window. Shuttles that need a clean lane. Visitors who do not know the site.
- Lot layout and signage before day one
- Shuttle staging with a protected loading lane
- Shift-change control so outbound and inbound do not collide
Proven in Memphis
This is not theory. This October, TPG begins daily traffic control at a major AI data-center campus in Memphis: pre-dawn and evening shifts, seven days a week. A local crew is led by Earl Harden, our Memphis Market Manager.
- Lighted batons, flags and high-visibility vests on every post
- Radios across both lots
- GPS-verified clock-ins in the TPG app
- Weekly traffic reviews
