At The Parking Guys, your privacy is sacred — we handle your information the same way we handle your keys: with care, discretion, and full accountability. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using our website, submitting a form, applying for employment, or opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to the practices described below.

The Parking Company Worldwide LLC (doing business as The Parking Guys) is a valet parking and transportation services company serving hotels, hospitals, country clubs, events, and private clients across the Southeast United States.

When you hand us your keys at a hotel, hospital, country club, or event venue, we may retain only the following for operational purposes:

We do not retain your name, phone number, or payment information unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, to request a return call for a lost item).

2.5 Mobile Application — Permissions & Device Data

The TPG Team Portal mobile app (iOS and Android) is a wrapped version of the employee dashboard at app.theparkingguys.com/dashboard/. When you install it from the App Store or Google Play, the app may request the device permissions listed below. Each is optional and only used for the feature you are actively using.

Location (precise) Geofenced clock-in and clock-out — confirms you are at your scheduled venue before recording a punch. Only read at the moment you tap clock-in or clock-out. The latitude/longitude of the punch moment, attached to the timesheet row. We do not track your location between punches and do not use it for advertising.
Camera Photographing license plates for valet tickets, attaching damage photos to incident reports, and capturing your profile picture. Photos are uploaded to our Supabase-hosted storage and linked to the specific ticket, incident, or profile they belong to.
Photo Library Selecting an existing photo for your profile picture instead of taking a new one. Only the photo you specifically select is uploaded. We do not read the rest of your library.
Push Notifications Shift assignment alerts, swap requests, and clock-in reminders if you have opted into push as an alternative or supplement to SMS. Your device’s push token (a random identifier issued by Apple or Google). It is not linked to any advertising network. You can disable push at any time in your device’s Settings → Notifications.
Network Access Required for the app to function — the portal syncs schedules, messages, and timesheets with our servers in real time. Standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, route) as covered in section 6.

What the app does NOT do: read your contacts, read your calendar, access your microphone, access Bluetooth, read your SMS messages, collect device advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID), or embed any third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking SDK.

App-store data-safety disclosures. The Google Play Data Safety form and the Apple App Store App Privacy “nutrition label” for TPG Team Portal match the table above. If the disclosures ever drift out of sync, this Privacy Policy controls.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose. Period.

4. SMS Text Messages & TCPA Consent

We use SMS text messaging (operated via Twilio, Inc.) exclusively to communicate with active employees and applicants who have explicitly opted in.

You provide consent to receive SMS messages from The Parking Guys in one of two ways:

Message frequency varies based on your assigned work schedule — typically 3 to 10 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply and are charged by your mobile carrier, not by The Parking Guys.

After you opt out, you will receive one final confirmation message and then no further SMS messages unless you opt back in.

Reply HELP, INFO, SUPPORT, or AYUDA to any message for assistance, or call 877-908-8271 during business hours (8 AM – 8 PM Central, Monday through Saturday).

Consent is not a condition of employment. Declining SMS does not affect your application or employment. We will still reach you by phone call or email — we just can’t send the rapid-response alerts that help you grab extra shifts or avoid missed schedules.

5. Who We Share Information With

We share information only with the specific service providers we need to run our business, and only the minimum data needed for each one to do its job. We have signed data-processing agreements with each of them.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. If we are ever legally compelled to disclose information (subpoena, court order, lawful government request), we will respond only to the extent legally required and, where permitted, notify you.

Regardless of where you live, you can exercise the following rights with respect to your personal information:

You have additional rights under your state’s privacy law, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no opt-out is necessary — but you can still request access, correction, deletion, or portability at any time.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Email hiring@theparkingguys.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” or call 877-908-8271. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days (CCPA) or the equivalent deadline in your state.

Account & Data Deletion (App Users)

If you use the TPG Team Portal mobile app or the employee dashboard at app.theparkingguys.com, you can delete your account and associated personal data at any time.

In-app deletion path:

  1. Open the TPG Team Portal app and log in.
  2. Tap the menu and choose Account.
  3. Tap Delete my account and confirm.

Deletion is processed immediately by our account-delete service. Your authentication record, profile, HR messages you authored, and shift assignments are removed.

What is retained, and why: anonymized shift history (your name and contact info are removed; the work record is kept with an anonymized identifier) is retained for 7 years to comply with IRS payroll record requirements. Parking ticket records that include vehicle photos or damage documentation are retained for 7 years for liability claims, per industry standard.

Web-based deletion request: if you cannot access the app, email info@theparkingguys.com with the subject line “Delete my TPG account” and the email address associated with your account. We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Note for store reviewers: the in-app deletion flow above satisfies Google Play’s account deletion requirement and Apple App Store guideline 5.1.1(v).

8. Cookies & Website Tracking

We use a minimal set of cookies and tracking technologies:

9. Children’s Privacy

Our services, website, and employment are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be communicated by email (to employees) or by a banner on the website (to applicants and visitors) at least 30 days before taking effect.

Your continued use of our services after a revised policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you disagree with the changes, you may opt out of SMS, stop using the website, and request deletion of your information.
