By using our website, submitting a form, applying for employment, or opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Who We Are
The Parking Company Worldwide LLC (doing business as The Parking Guys) is a valet parking and transportation services company serving hotels, hospitals, country clubs, events, and private clients across the Southeast United States.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 From Website Visitors
- Contact & Quote forms: name, company, phone number, email address, city, event type, event date, estimated guest count, service notes, page URL you submitted from, referrer URL
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, referring URL, pages visited, timestamps — collected via standard server logs and Google Analytics (if enabled)
2.2 From Employment Applicants
- Identity: full legal name, date of birth, current address, email, phone number, emergency contact
- Driving qualifications: driver’s license number, state of issue, expiration date, photo of DL (front and back)
- Employment history: past employers, roles, dates, references
- Background check authorization: FCRA disclosure consent, Checkr-facilitated consumer report (driving record, criminal history, SSN trace)
- Consent records: timestamp, IP address, and e-signature for FCRA and SMS consent
2.3 From Active Employees
- Shift schedules, clock-in/clock-out times, locations worked, assigned roles
- Payroll information (tax forms, direct-deposit details) — stored separately in our payroll processor’s secure system
- Performance notes, training records, and safety-incident reports
2.4 From Guests at Venues We Service
When you hand us your keys at a hotel, hospital, country club, or event venue, we may retain only the following for operational purposes:
- License plate (on the claim ticket)
- Vehicle make, model, and color
- Claim number and timestamp
We do not retain your name, phone number, or payment information unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, to request a return call for a lost item).
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:
- Respond to quote requests, service inquiries, and employment applications
- Schedule valet shifts, coordinate shift swaps, and send operational alerts
- Conduct lawful background and driving-record checks on prospective employees via Checkr, Inc.
- Process payroll and employment-tax reporting
- Dispatch emergency communications during events, weather closures, or safety incidents
- Improve our website, services, and customer experience
- Comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, and defend legal claims
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose. Period.
4. SMS Text Messages & TCPA Consent
We use SMS text messaging (operated via Twilio, Inc.) exclusively to communicate with active employees and applicants who have explicitly opted in.
4.1 How You Consent to SMS
You provide consent to receive SMS messages from The Parking Guys in one of two ways:
- Employment application opt-in: During the online application at theparkingguys.com/employment/apply, you check a required box immediately above the submit button that authorizes us to send SMS messages to the mobile number you provide.
- Keyword opt-in: You text START, JOIN, SUBSCRIBE, YES, UNSTOP, GO, or BEGIN to our business number. You will receive a confirmation message.
4.2 What Messages You’ll Receive
- Shift assignments and confirmations
- Shift swap requests from teammates needing coverage
- Schedule changes and cancellations
- Clock-in reminders before the start of a shift
- Payroll alerts (pay-stub ready, direct deposit posted)
- Time-sensitive operational alerts (weather, venue changes, emergencies)
4.3 Message Frequency & Rates
Message frequency varies based on your assigned work schedule — typically 3 to 10 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply and are charged by your mobile carrier, not by The Parking Guys.
4.4 How You Can Opt Out
You can revoke SMS consent at any time by any of the following:
- Reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message we send you
- Email hiring@theparkingguys.com
- Call 877-908-8271
After you opt out, you will receive one final confirmation message and then no further SMS messages unless you opt back in.
4.5 Help
Reply HELP, INFO, SUPPORT, or AYUDA to any message for assistance, or call 877-908-8271 during business hours (8 AM – 8 PM Central, Monday through Saturday).
6. How We Store & Protect Information
6.1 Encryption
- All data in transit is protected by TLS 1.2+ (HTTPS)
- Application data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 inside Supabase (PostgreSQL)
- Driver’s license photos are stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket with row-level security
6.2 Access Controls
- Employee dashboard access requires magic-link email authentication — no password reuse risk
- Role-based permissions (valet, lead valet, manager, owner) govern who sees what
- All administrative access is logged
6.3 Retention
- Employment applications of non-hired applicants: deleted after 2 years (FCRA retention window)
- Active employee records: retained for the duration of employment + 7 years (tax & payroll compliance)
- Contact & quote form submissions: retained for 3 years unless you request earlier deletion
- Server access logs: retained for 90 days
- SMS consent records (timestamp + IP): retained for the life of the account + 5 years after opt-out (TCPA compliance)
7. Your Rights & Choices
Regardless of where you live, you can exercise the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: Ask us to fix any inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt-out of SMS: Reply STOP to any text or contact us
- Opt-out of email marketing: Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email (transactional email cannot be unsubscribed for active employees)
- Portability: Receive your information in a machine-readable format
Residents of California (CCPA / CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), and other states with comprehensive privacy laws
You have additional rights under your state’s privacy law, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no opt-out is necessary — but you can still request access, correction, deletion, or portability at any time.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Email hiring@theparkingguys.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” or call 877-908-8271. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days (CCPA) or the equivalent deadline in your state.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our services, website, and employment are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be communicated by email (to employees) or by a banner on the website (to applicants and visitors) at least 30 days before taking effect.
Your continued use of our services after a revised policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you disagree with the changes, you may opt out of SMS, stop using the website, and request deletion of your information.
